Discover the legacy of Golf Torrequebrada, where ambitious German investment in the late 1960s laid the foundations for a top-tier golf destination.

Upon opening its doors in 1976, the course quickly gained recognition for its visionary design by José "Pepe" Gancedo, notable for its innovative greens inspired by the modern American style.

In 1979, we had the honour of hosting the 53rd Spanish Open, where South African Dale Hayes emerged as the champion. The tournament also featured notable players such as Bernard Gallacher, Sandy Lyle, Nick Price, Tony Jacklin, Bernhard Langer and Sam Torrance.

In that historic European Tour tournament and its 1978 predecessor, the Under-25 Spanish Championship won by Severiano Ballesteros, numerous anecdotes enrich its memory.

The Spanish Interclub Junior Championship Memorial Manuel Montero was hosted on our course for over a decade, fondly remembered by many. Great players like José María Olazábal, Sergio García, Rafael and Emma Carrera Bello participated.
